Soccer Balls!

We were very fortunate to receive donations of soccer balls--many from the Lincoln High School Boys Varsity team--to give to the students at New Kabaale Busega. Today we presented a ball to each of the 10 classes, and the students were thrilled. When we walked into the classroom the whopped and jumped out of their seats. They haven't been so excited since the day we arrived! Soccer is very popular here in Uganda, and the students had previously been using balls that they had made themselves out of old plastic bags and pieces of paper. More soccer balls will be given to All Saints when they arrive with the Henderson Family (who will be joining us for the last three weeks of our trip). Thanks to the Hendersons for collecting all the donations and of course to all the people who donated the balls. They are much appreciated!
